Schools Done!!

Well almost...I still have two finals in biology and educational psychology but that's it. No more homework till break when I do my online class. I'll have plenty of time to work on it since I'm gonna be in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska and working at night.

It's been a while since I posted but I've been really busy with classes and work. I got a job at the Faculty Technology Center(FTC) and am either there, class, church, or home doing homework. I did have a social life too but not too much. All in all I had a GREAT semester. Met a lot of new people and made new friends. Definitely gonna miss all of those people on winter track (which is a lot!) but we have facebook so we can keep in touch :-)

Leaving Saturday morning at 8:30AM(MST) on the Salt Lake Express from Rexburg to Salt Lake, getting there at about 12:30PM, my plane leaves at 2:25PM, and I'll get into Omaha at about 8:30PM(CST). But don't worry I won't be bored during the break in Salt Lake. Stephanie is also going on the shuttle with me and Taylor is going to try to visit me while I'm there. I haven't seen him since November and I won't get to see him for two years(he reports to the MTC-for anyone who doesn't know thats the missionary training center-on Sep 3) so I'm excited :o)

I'll be in Nebraska till the end of August then I'm going to visit Tanis in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. I'm excited; I've never been to Canada before. I have no clue what we're doing that week that I'm there but it should be fun. I'll come back to Rexburg with her. Then we'll move into Kensington 101(yay off campus!!) and get settled there and go through classes all over again. But thats what I'm here for eh? (haha I'm practicing for Canada...lol...ok I'm done laughing at myself cracking jokes...ok one more time...lol..or rather gub-giggle under breath...lol)

I've been rambling for a while now and your probably bored so I'll stop. Next time I'll probably have pictures from this semester(I'm gonna work on those during the break also)

Love you all!!!

Spring(only not)

Its May 1st. Its spring not winter. I woke up this morning and theres snow on the ground. What the hay. Theres supposed to be green and flowers not white covering green and trees that look like sticks stuck together. Oh well I'll get over it. Since todays Thursday I only have one class and its 3;15-4:45 so I'm going to work on my art homework. I have to make a papier-mache mask and a mosaic so I'll be busy. Rachel, Stephanie and I decorated our front room last night so now it looks homey and the walls aren't boring white. I've been thinking a lot about whats going to happen in the future. Walking isn't as easy as it used to be: my legs hurt if I stand too long (it doesn't take very long for them to start hurting) and I can't walk as far as I used to be able to. I don't want to be stuck in the wheelchair. In some ways its easier but a lot of ways its easier to walk. Going uphill for example-if I'm walking I tend to get there faster than in the wheelchair but here at school when I'm going uphill in my wheelchair theres usually someone who will push me whether they ask me or not. When I'm in the wheelchair my hands are freed and I can hold things easier. I don't know what to do. Sometimes I wish life wasn't this complicated but I guess it wouldn't be a test if it was easy and we didn't have trials like this. My birthday is next Saturday and I wonder if he'll remember and call. I shouldn't expect it though because he probably won't. I need to get working on my homework so I'll keep you updated on my life here where its still winter in May-Rexburg.

another step in the ladder of life

Summer 2008 has barely started and I already love it. I love seeing my friends again and making new ones. I missed the spiritual environment and the wonderful atmosphere. Not that home was a bad atmosphere I just really missed being in Rexburg. Classes are a little crazy but they are still great. I have 4 classes in a row on Mondays and Wednesdays so I'm go go go all afternoon. But I come home to 2 wonderful roommates. Oh by the way I call Cali home and Rexburg home just to get that straightened out. I have already had to use my wheelchair this semester. My brand new crutches decided to bust on me so my dad had to send me new crutch tips. The washer in the crutch tip sliced the bottom almost completely off. But they're good to go now so their as good as new. The weather here has been SOO nice compared to last week when it was cold and it even snowed on Thursday. Been able to walk around outside without a sweatshirt. Hope it stays this beautiful.
Till next time,
Amanda
